Privacy should be part of the conversation.

CyraNote is a consent-first conversation assistant operated by Villocity Labs. This policy explains what CyraNote processes, why it is processed, and the controls available to you.

Information CyraNote processes

Account information, including your email address, securely hashed password, authentication sessions, subscription status, and usage totals.
Audio you intentionally capture while CyraNote visibly shows that listening is active.
Transcripts, prompts, questions, and documents you intentionally provide for app functionality.
Purchase and entitlement information supplied by Apple and RevenueCat.

Audio and conversation data

Captured audio and the transcript context needed for requested translation or guidance are sent through CyraNote's backend to the configured AI provider only to service your request. CyraNote's current backend does not retain raw conversation audio after processing. A host voice profile is stored on your device and is sent only when you activate focused speaker identification.

Text and Markdown notes selected for session grounding are read on your device and sent with AI requests only while they are attached to that session.

In the native iOS app, an active session that you intentionally started may continue listening and transcribing if the screen sleeps or the app temporarily enters the background. This background capability exists only to preserve that active session; CyraNote does not begin listening automatically. You can stop listening at any time. When using CyraNote in a web browser, keep the page in the foreground during an active session.

Saved session snapshots are stored on your device unless a future version clearly asks you to enable cloud storage. You are responsible for obtaining consent from every participant before recording or transcription begins.

Service providers

CyraNote uses Apple for App Store purchases, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management, and OpenAI for configured AI transcription, translation, and guidance services. These providers process information under their respective terms and privacy commitments.

Use, retention, and sharing

CyraNote uses information to provide the service, secure accounts, verify subscriptions, enforce usage allowances, and support customers. We do not sell personal information or use conversation content for advertising. Account and usage records remain until you delete your account or they are no longer needed for legal, security, or operational obligations.

Your controls

You can stop listening at any time, clear the host voice profile in Session Settings, remove locally saved sessions, manage your Apple subscription, or delete your CyraNote account from the Account screen. Account deletion removes associated server-side account, authentication, entitlement, usage, and RevenueCat customer records that we are not legally required to retain. Apple does not allow developers to cancel an active App Store subscription for you, so cancellation remains available in Apple subscription settings.
